Skybird Rockets

Designed to clear away birds in response to a very loud bang overhead, launched at an angle, by an out-of-view operator up to 600 feet away, the unexpected loud mid-air explosion ensures non return for many hours - especially if reinforced by a second rocket set off very soon after the first. Birds become accustomed to all conventional bird scaring equipment if regular changes are not made in location and timing. Skybird Rockets are best used, not as a substitute for other methods, but to enhance their effectiveness by introducing a new element of shock and surprise.

Performance:Skybird Rockets are designed to drive away birds by means of a very loud report, produced above the birds. Launched at an angle of 60Ï to the ground, the rocket will have a horizontal range of about 400 feet, and produce a loud, mid-air explosion. This unexpected bang ensures that the birds will not return for many hours - especially if reinforced by a second rocket, set off very soon after the first. Birds become accustomed to all conventional bird scaring equipment, unless frequent changes are made in location and timing. Skybird Rockets are best used to enhance their effectiveness in introducing a new element of shock and surprise, rather than as a substitute for other methods.

General Warnings (Agricultural Use): The Rockets are relatively fragile, and should be handled carefully to avoid breakage; it is recommended that the rockets are stored and carried in a robust, closed box. Never fire a damaged Rocket. The motor driving the Rocket produces flame and hot gases, so the Rocket should only be fired from a tube or rack placed well away from any inflammable materials such as dry grass. Angle the launcher towards the birds - the optimum, safe angle is 60Ï to the ground (Do not angle the launcher at less than 45Ï to the ground). Ensure that at least 800 feet of ground, clear of people, buildings, trees, haystacks or other obstructions is available from the firing point, in the direction of aim. Do not fire in high wind conditions, or where there is a risk of igniting dry crops. Unfired Rockets should be kept well away from firing point, and stored in a closed box to prevent accidental ignition. Rockets should be fired one at a time - the use of automatic multiple firing devices is not recommended. Disposal of damaged/unwanted Rockets is best achieved by soaking the whole rocket in water for at least 48 hours. After soaking, the resultant liquid can be poured away, and the remaining paper and stick disposed of with other rubbish.

Storage: Skybird Rockets, in common with all fireworks and other pyrotechnics, should be stored in a cool dry place, well away from any source of ignition, flammable materials or other hazardous goods. A metal cabinet is ideal.
